How to Turn Off Filter Keys Windows Xp

Well its pretty simple. I was using my computer as normal and I just happened to hold down the right shift key for 8 seconds which brought up Sticky Keys window which is part of the Accessibity Options. This window I closed and I was screwed after that. I couldn't get any of the numbers up in text and even when using the computer with the mouse it had some problems. After messing with Sticky Keys some more and pressing OK, I now can't even use my keyboard. I just want to get my PC working back to normal, please help I have lots of work I need to do. My mouse I can do without by my keyboard I need working. Maybe a system restore will help but I'd prefer to understand what is going on so I can stop this from ever happening again.

If you held down the shift key for 8 seconds, then you did not turn on Sticky Keys, but rather you could have turned on Filter Keys. Try holding down the shift key again, for 8 seconds, and this time choose 'Cancel'. Does that bring things back to normal?
STICKY KEYS:
Turn on/off sticky keys by hitting the shift key 5 times.

OK .... from trial and error I got it all worked out. You would think something like this would be so simple, well it kinda is when you know how. This problem was making me crazy 
I was stressing big time. Now first of all the default that windows has inorder for this problem to crop up is the shortcut ability to turn Filter Keys on which is holding the RIGHT Shift key fo eight seconds. This is the culperate that catches people and they find their in the middle of something really important and have to drop it or loose work or something. Which is exactly what I was doing but now I can't be bothered working on that Batch File no more. So
Goto Control Pannel / Accessability Options and there you will find Filter Keys. Click on Settings and uncheck Use Shortcut.
If by some chance you have done what I have done which was cause your keyboard to completely not work anymore then you just need to make sure that under the Keyboard Tab in Accessibility Options you have Use FilterKeys unchecked.
Crazy Crazy Crazy.... loosing my hair over that one cause its happened before and I didn't remember.
Well back to work.

Cheers Albert, I've done nothing but work on this problem for the last 30mins so I think I got it sorted but at the same time I'm sure I'l remember what to do first thing when I install Windows. Its also a good note for others how to deal with their problem.
